Accountant I & II

Andrew Morgan LLC (AM) is a fast-growing Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and HUBZone SB. We are seeking four qualified Accountants at varying experience levels to join our team supporting our Department of Defense (DoD) Client. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accountant Level I

• Support financial management, audit readiness, and remediation activities
• Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit documentation
• Support PBCs, walkthroughs, and audit requests
• Maintain supporting documentation and audit evidence repositories
• Assist in control execution and testing activities
• Knowledge of:
  • Basic accounting principles
  • Financial reporting processes

Accountant Level II

• Execute audit remediation, financial reporting, and internal control activities
• Perform reconciliations across GL, feeder systems, and sub-ledgers
• Support FSCR, P2P (AP/Obs), Asset Reporting, and A-123 control activities
• Develop and review assertion packages, CAPs, and audit documentation
• Support audit liaison activities and auditor engagement
• Contribute to financial statement preparation, variance analysis, and reporting
• Knowledge of:
  • GAAP, GAGAS, ICOFR
  • SFFAS / FASAB
  • OMB A-123, A-127, A-136
  • Federal financial systems and audit frameworks

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Active Secret Clearance
• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication and documentation skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• DoD / Air Force FIAR experience
• Experience with FSCR, P2P, Asset Reporting
• Experience interacting with auditors (IPA, GAO, DoDIG)
• Certification preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA, CGFM, CDFM)

SALARY:

Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
