Job Announcement - Join the Team Behind Cadenza at Anda Llama Productions
Position: Freelance Line Producer/Budget Consultant
Location: Remote (U.S. preferred)
Duration: Initial deliverables, with potential to continue through production
Project: CADENZA is an award-winning independent feature drama currently in development and preparing for financing. The screenplay has been recognized by multiple screenwriting competitions and festivals, including as a Finalist in the Los Angeles International Screenwriting Awards, and we are assembling the professional materials needed to present the project to producers, investors, and financing partners. We are seeking an experienced line producer to help prepare a professional production budget package.
Scope of Work The selected candidate will:
- Develop a detailed feature film budget using Movie Magic Budgeting (or equivalent professional software)
- Prepare a professional Top Sheet budget
- Review the screenplay for budgeting assumptions
- Identify major cost drivers and opportunities for savings
- Provide budgeting notes and assumptions suitable for investor presentations
- (Optional) Prepare a preliminary production schedule and stripboard
Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience budgeting narrative feature films
- Strong understanding of independent film production
- Experience creating budgets for projects in the $350K - $1.2M range (or comparable)
- Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA, IATSE, DGA, and other union considerations (preferred but not required)
- Experience with international productions is a plus
Deliverables
- Professional feature film budget (2 versions, high end, and low end)
- Top Sheet
- Budget assumptions document
- Consultation regarding budget strategy (tax incentives, etc.)
- Optional preliminary production schedule
Compensation This is a paid freelance opportunity
