Brownfield Project Acquisition)

Consulting Fee: ₹1.5 – ₹2.0 Lakhs per month Performance Incentive:
Competitive success-based fee upon successful closure of a
Brownfield Renewable Energy Project acquisition. Based on
performance, the consultant may be offered a permanent leadership
position with enhanced compensation.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Consultant to support the
company's growth strategy through Land Acquisition, Government Liaisoning,
Brownfield Project Identification, Commercial Evaluation, Due Diligence,
and Transaction Closure.
The consultant will play a critical role in identifying acquisition
opportunities within the renewable energy sector and supporting the
end-to-end acquisition process, from opportunity sourcing through
successful transaction closure.
Key Responsibilities
Land Acquisition & Project Development
- Lead land acquisition activities for renewable energy projects.
- Identify suitable land parcels for Solar, Wind, Hybrid, or other
renewable energy developments.
- Liaise with government departments, revenue authorities, and regulatory
bodies.
- Ensure statutory approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with legal teams for land documentation and title
verification.
Brownfield Project Identification
- Identify acquisition opportunities for operational or near-operational
renewable energy projects (Brownfield Assets).
- Develop relationships with project developers, Independent Power
Producers (IPPs), investors, lenders, consultants, and brokers to source
acquisition opportunities.
- Evaluate projects based on commercial viability, technical feasibility,
operational performance, and strategic fit.
Project Assessment & Due Diligence
- Coordinate and support technical, financial, commercial, legal, and
regulatory due diligence with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review project documentation, land records, PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M
agreements, permits, licenses, financial statements, and statutory
approvals.
- Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
Transaction Support
- Assist management throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including
valuation support, negotiations, documentation, and transaction closure.
- Coordinate with legal advisors, financial consultants, technical
experts, lenders, and project owners.
- Facilitate smooth execution of acquisition agreements and project
transfer.
Governance & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with government authorities, regulatory
bodies, project developers, consultants, and financial institutions.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory, environmental, and regulatory
requirements.
Key Deliverables
- Identification of suitable Brownfield Renewable Energy acquisition
opportunities.
- Completion of project assessment and due diligence.
- Support the successful acquisition and closure of at least one
operational renewable energy project within 6 months of joining.
- Timely completion of land acquisition and regulatory support activities.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Management, Finance, Law, or a related
field.
- 12–20+ years of experience in Renewable Energy.
