The Gist…

As our Sr. Solutions Engineer, you are the person who turns ideas into working software. You operate across the full technology stack, building frontends, backends, APIs, and integrations, to create tools, platforms, and proof-of-concept applications that solve real problems for Amivero and our customers. You work closely with the CTO and Amivero leadership to technically support company-wide technology initiatives, translating strategic vision into functional, demonstrable solutions. You're equally comfortable writing production code, building a demo, or presenting a technical concept to a non-technical audience.

This is not a "draw the architecture diagram and hand it off" role. You build it, you demo it, you iterate on it.

Solution Development (Core Focus)

• Design and develop full-stack applications (frontend and backend) to support internal initiatives, customer-facing proofs of concept, and technology demonstrations
• Build and iterate on platforms and tools rapidly, from concept to functional prototype to production-ready application
• Develop applications using modern frameworks and languages, spanning web applications, PowerApps, automation scripts, and conversational AI interfaces
• Integrate third-party APIs, AI/ML services, and cloud platform capabilities into cohesive, functional solutions
• Write high-quality, maintainable code and establish patterns that can be reused across projects

Technical Support of Enterprise Initiatives

• Serve as a primary technical implementer for company-wide technology programs and initiatives, translating leadership vision into working solutions
• Build the tooling, applications, and infrastructure needed to support organizational programs (e.g., learning platforms, tracking applications, internal productivity tools)
• Technically support the evaluation and piloting of new platforms, frameworks, and technologies by building hands-on proofs of concept and comparative prototypes
• Implement and configure enterprise tools and platforms (e.g., LLM gateways, RAG-enabled chatbots, AI assistants) in support of broader organizational goals

Presentations, Demos & Technical Communication

• Create and deliver technical presentations, demos, and Lunch & Learn sessions to communicate capabilities, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Develop supporting content, documentation, walkthroughs, video recordings, that help others understand and adopt solutions
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives for proposals, orals, and business development efforts

Collaboration & Customer Engagement

• Partner with Growth, Delivery, and customer-facing teams to understand requirements and build targeted technical solutions
• Work with the CTO and leadership on technology partnerships and strategic technical direction
• Engage directly with internal teams and customer programs to understand pain points and develop working solutions that address them, not just recommendations, but functional tools, integrations, and applications that solve the problem

Participate in technical challenges and orals as a subject matter expertCloud & SECDEVOPS Infrastructure Awareness

• * Maintain strong working knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and deployment pipelines to ensure solutions are built on scalable, secure foundations
• Collaborate with infrastructure and tech to ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and security requirements
• Understand and apply security best practices and compliance requirements in solution design and development.

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of experience in information technology
• Proven full-stack development skills, you can build a frontend, wire up a backend, connect an API, and deploy it
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages and modern frameworks (e.g., React, Python, Node.js, PowerPlatform)
• Hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered applications, including conversational AI, RAG architectures, and LLM integrations
• Strong understanding of cloud computing platforms and their services (not just theory, you've built on them)
• Ability to context-switch between deep technical work and stakeholder communication
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, you can demo what you build and explain why it matters
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• High self-motivation and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for learning and staying at the forefront of technology trends

Desired Qualifications

• Generative AI Integration: Practical experience developing software and platforms that integrate generative AI capabilities (e.g., LLM APIs, RAG architectures, conversational AI, AI-assisted workflows), not theoretical knowledge, but having built and shipped working solutions
• Secure-by-Design Engineering: Experience applying security-first principles throughout the software development lifecycle, including SecDevOps practices, automated security testing, and building applications where compliance and security are baked in from the start, not bolted on after
• Regulated Environment Awareness: While this role operates within a fast-paced small business that builds rapidly using modern technologies, our customers are federal government agencies with highly regulated enterprise IT environments. The ideal candidate understands that every component, framework, and technology choice must be compatible with, and deployable into, environments governed by strict security, compliance, and authority-to-operate requirements. Direct federal experience isn't required, but you need to understand what it means to build something today that has to run in those environments tomorrow.
