Position: Yoga Coach
Location: Amity International School, Gurgaon, Sector 46
About the Role
Amity International School, Gurgaon, Sector 46, is looking for a passionate and dedicated Yoga Coach to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and holistic development among students. The ideal candidate should be experienced in conducting yoga sessions for school students and fostering a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct yoga classes for students across different age groups in accordance with the school’s curriculum and wellness objectives.
· Plan and deliver engaging yoga sessions focusing on flexibility, strength, balance, posture, breathing techniques (Pranayama), and relaxation.
· Encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and mindfulness techniques.
· Organize and conduct meditation and stress management sessions for students and staff, as required.
· Prepare lesson plans and maintain records of student participation and progress.
· Ensure a safe and supportive environment during all yoga sessions.
· Coordinate yoga-related activities, wellness programs, and school events such as International Yoga Day.
· Promote discipline, teamwork, and positive physical and mental health among students.
· Collaborate with school faculty and management to integrate wellness initiatives into the school environment.
· Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of yoga equipment and facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
· Bachelor’s degree in Yoga, Physical Education, or a related field.
· Certification in Yoga from a recognized institute (preferred).
· Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Yoga Instructor/Coach, preferably in a school or educational institution.
· Strong knowledge of yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and child-friendly teaching methodologies.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to motivate and engage students of different age groups.
Preferred Skills
· Experience in conducting group yoga sessions and wellness workshops.
· Knowledge of age-appropriate yoga practices for children and adolescents.
· Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
· Positive attitude, patience, and enthusiasm for working with students.
