Role Description

Amity University is seeking a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Mohali district. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research projects, developing curriculum content, and contributing to the department’s academic initiatives. The role also includes engaging in independent research activities, publishing in reputable journals, mentoring students, and supporting the university’s vision for academic and professional excellence. Faculty will also participate in academic committees, seminars, or conferences hosted by the university or external organizations.

Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science or closely related field, with thesis submitted or completed.
• Comprehensive knowledge and expertise in programming languages, algorithms, and software engineering.
• Strong capabilities in research methodology and publishing academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.
• Proficiency in teaching various computer science subjects like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Cloud Computing.
• Ability to mentor students and collaborate on academic projects and research initiatives.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills suitable for academic engagement.
• Experience in integrating practical insights with theoretical concepts to enrich the teaching process.
• Additional certifications or experience in specialized fields like cybersecurity, data visualization, or big data analytics are a plus.
