Job Description

The IT Specialist oversees setting up, managing, and troubleshooting the technology systems that a business uses to maintain computer and software networks. Their duties include responding to hardware problems, updating system software, and tracking the data and communications used on their network.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review diagnostics and assess the functionality and efficiency of systems
  • Implement security measures
  • Monitor security certificates and company compliance with requirements
  • Offer technical support to company staff and troubleshoot computer problems
  • Install and update company software and hardware as needed
  • Anticipate and report the cost of replacing or updating computer items
  • Standardizes best practices to ensure we have a cohesive approach to our IT strategy.
  • Leads implementation of connectivity best practices that will lead our Teams to be more productive and effective.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Works well with others and good teambuilding
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multitasking and time management skills
  • Install and update company software as needed
  • Offer technical support to company staff
  • Ability to troubleshoot computer issues.

Working Conditions

  • Work Hours:
  • Overtime: compensated according to labor laws.
  • Breaks: 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute rest breaks per shift.

  • Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including helmets, gloves, and safety goggles.
  • Regular safety drills, including fire and emergency evacuation procedures.

  • Work Environment:
  • Well-ventilated and adequately lit workspaces.
  • Working in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse can involve exposure to extreme temperatures
