Special Security Specialist Senior

Purpose and Impact:

Amentum is seeking a Special Security Specialist (Sr-Level) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Defense Intelligence Enterprise.

None of the missions happen without access, and access doesn't happen without you. As a Special Security Specialist supporting DIA, you'll work alongside the Special Security Officer to control access to SCI and SCI facilities, run the briefings and debriefings that keep the workforce compliant, and keep the paperwork, inspections, and audits airtight. You'll be the person people trust to get their access right the first time. At the senior level, you'll do this work at its highest degree of difficulty, and you'll multiply your impact by leading and mentoring the team around you. This position is contingent upon award of contract, business needs, security clearance verification, and funding availability.

Work Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours/day M-F

Essential Responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior contractor security professional supporting the SSO, handling the most complex access and eligibility cases
• Lead inspection and audit programs across multiple facilities, and drive corrective actions to closure
• Develop security policy recommendations and management reports for government security leadership
• Mentor mid-level security specialists and standardize security processes across the program
• Support program transitions, ensuring personnel access and facility accreditation never become the bottleneck

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 12+ years of relevant special security experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years
• Master's degree desired in a related field
• Demonstrated leadership of security teams or programs
• Expert command of SCI access, SCIF accreditation, and classified material management

Security Clearance Required:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

Minimum Education:

• Master's degree desired in a related field

Minimum Years of Experience:

• 12+ years of relevant special security experience, with recent experience within the last 2 years

Required Certifications:

Preferred Qualifications: AI if applicable to your program

• DIA or Defense Intelligence Enterprise experience
• Program transition support experience
• Advanced security certifications (SPeD program or equivalent)

Compensation Details:

80,000 - 160,000
