Job Description
THE PERSON:
As a Technical Marketing Product Manager, you will drive the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap enabling AMD-AECG's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.
In this role you will work with a diverse team from across the organization from engineering, IC design, applications, support and sales to help define and deliver methodologies to improve Power Integrity both on the board and in package.
You will drive simulation methodologies using S-Parameter models and develop methodologies to analyze and mitigate power transient events in programmable logic designs.
You will employ unwavering customer focus, critical thinking capabilities, and excellent communication skills to connect with critically important customers to understand and champion their success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive the long-term strategy, vision, and roadmap for Power Integrity Methodologies in AMD-AECG products
- Serve as the subject matter expert on power integrity packaging solutions, power decoupling network design and FPGA analysis & mitigation of step loads.
- Develop and deliver a variety of technical marketing materials, such as whitepapers, blog posts, application notes, case studies, and presentations, focusing on PI best practices, challenges, and solutions.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in power integrity, and packaging technologies.
- Solid understanding of high-performance packaging solutions, including PCB, die and system-level design considerations for PI.
- Experience with PI analysis tools (e.g., HyperLynx, Ansys, Cadence) and techniques for evaluating PDN performance.
- Knowledge of S-Parameter models, their creation and usage in simulators.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with FPGA design, and test and debug to enable test and debug of design step load characteristics is a plus.
- Experience in technical marketing, product evangelism, or customer-facing roles in the semiconductor or electronics industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent field
