As a Senior Staff Employee Relations Specialist at AMD, your role is vital in conducting moderate to complex investigations and managing performance management cases in alignment with legal, industry, and AMD best practices. Your hands-on and strategic expertise, along with a customer service orientation, will be crucial in executing your responsibilities effectively.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Serve as the point of contact for employees and leadership for conflict resolution.
- Ensure timely and compliant handling of performance management, grievance, discipline, and policy interpretation requests.
- Collaborate on employee relations matters such as corrective actions, warnings, or performance improvement plans.
- Conduct fair and thorough investigations, maintain accurate documentation, and follow through to resolution.
- Provide suggestions to leaders and HR Business Partners for employee engagement, policy, or process improvements based on trends.
- Support interactive processes for employees seeking reasonable accommodations in partnership with Benefits and Legal.
- Participate in developing and delivering management training programs to enhance employee relations skills.
- Assist in Labour compliance activities/audits and stay updated on state laws.
- Facilitate training to enhance employee relations skills among people managers.
- Contribute to ad-hoc employee relations and HR department projects.
- Enhance the employee experience in HR areas such as onboarding, offboarding, and compliance activities/audits.
