As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you will dive deep into data and develop essential metrics to identify areas for improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain large‑scale data structures for business intelligence analytics.
- Implement best practices in data modeling to support online reporting and analysis across multi‑dimensional datasets from various sources.
- Gather business and functional requirements, translating them into robust and scalable solutions within the overall data architecture.
- Analyze source data systems to drive best practices across teams.
- Examine vast quantities of data to uncover real‑world solutions, building metrics to assist business decisions.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle from design to delivery, ensuring comprehensive dataset documentation and metadata.
- Assess proposed dataset implementations by peer data engineers and identify business process improvements from data insights.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with tools like Redshift, Oracle, and NoSQL.
- 4+ years with data visualization software such as Tableau Desktop or Quicksight.
- 4+ years in data warehouse architectures, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and SQL coding.
- Expertise in using SQL to extract data from databases or data warehouses and scripting experience with Python.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
- Experience in a BI role within a tech company or financial institution.
- Background in data mining, ETL, and working with large, complex datasets in business contexts.
- Knowledge of forecasting and statistical analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with AWS tools and technologies such as Redshift, S3, and EC2.
- 1+ years of statistical analysis experience.
