Medior Linux Engineer (part-time, on-site, Saturdays only)

About Role:

We are supporting a global financial data environment, focusing on Market Data infrastructure.

The role involves on-site support for locations in multiple citioes within banking environments.

• Perform on-site support activities.
• Execute Linux system operations via command line (no GUI)
• Navigate file systems (find, copy, edit files)
• Start/stop services and monitor system processes
• Troubleshoot:
• Connectivity issues
• Application/service failures
• Communicate effectively with:
• Local client IT teams
• Global teams

Requirements

• Medior Linux / Unix Administrator or System Support Engineer
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Command-line environments (Linux/Unix)
• File system operations
• Process/service management
• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience in production / banking / financial environments is a strong advantage
• English – mandatory
• Japanese - Fluent
• Local language – strong advantage

Working model

• Freelance / Contract-based
• Part-time
• Workdays: Saturdays only (6 hours engagement), across multiple months
• Visits scheduled weekly:
• Planning communicated on Mondays for upcoming Saturday
• On-site work – 100%
