Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and optimization of advanced power electronics systems, including high-power converters and inverters.
You will play a key role in bringing innovative concepts to life, from initial design and simulation to prototyping, testing, and final validation, while ensuring performance, efficiency, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test high-power converters and inverters, from concept to production
- Perform simulation, hardware design, control development, and system validation
- Develop and build prototypes to validate design concepts
- Conduct rigorous testing and analysis to ensure system robustness and reliability
- Collaborate closely with embedded software, hardware, and mechanical teams to deliver complete solutions
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, test procedures, and reports
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to assess product performance and compliance
- Identify design improvements, modify systems, and perform retesting cycles
- Ensure designs meet manufacturing feasibility, cost, and efficiency requirements
- Participate in design reviews and communicate key project aspects with Product Managers
- Evaluate usability, environmental impact, and safety of designs
- Research and propose innovative and cost-effective design solutions
Required Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronics Engineering or a related field
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in power electronics design
- Strong expertise in power electronic circuits design, analysis, and simulation tools
- Proven experience with high-power systems (converters, inverters)
- Strong ability to analyze, document, and interpret test data
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Familiarity with international regulatory and safety standards is an asset
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with control systems for power electronics
- Knowledge of thermal management and system optimization
- Previous experience in product development lifecycle (end-to-end)

Responsabilités principales
- Concevoir, développer et tester des convertisseurs et onduleurs haute puissance, de la phase conceptuelle à la mise en production
- Réaliser la simulation, la conception hardware, le développement de contrôle et la validation des systèmes
- Développer et fabriquer des prototypes afin de valider les concepts de conception
- Effectuer des tests rigoureux et analyses pour garantir la robustesse et la fiabilité des systèmes
- Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes logiciel embarqué, hardware et mécanique pour livrer des solutions complètes
- Rédiger la documentation technique : spécifications, procédures de test, rapports
- Collecter, analyser et interpréter les données de test pour évaluer la performance et la conformité des produits
- Identifier des axes d’amélioration, modifier les conceptions et effectuer des cycles de revalidation
- S’assurer de la faisabilité industrielle, des coûts et de l’efficacité des solutions
- Participer aux revues de conception et échanger avec les Product Managers sur les éléments clés des projets
- Évaluer la facilité d’utilisation, l’impact environnemental et la sécurité des solutions
- Rechercher et proposer des solutions innovantes et rentables
Profil recherché
- Diplôme universitaire (Baccalauréat ou Maîtrise) en électronique de puissance ou domaine connexe
- 7 à 10 ans d’expérience pertinente en conception électronique de puissance
- Solide expertise en conception, analyse et simulation de circuits de puissance
- Expérience confirmée sur des systèmes haute puissance (convertisseurs, onduleurs)
- Forte capacité à analyser, documenter et interpréter des données de test
- Bonne compréhension des procédés et équipements de fabrication
- Connaissance des normes internationales et de sécurité produit (atout)
- Excellentes compétences en résolution de problèmes et analyse
- Bonnes capacités de communication écrite et orale
- Capacité à évoluer dans un environnement multidisciplinaire et collaboratif
