About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading professional services organization, is seeking a Functional Payroll Senior Consultant to support and optimize Workday Payroll solutions within a dynamic, client-facing environment. This role sits within a high-performing Application Managed Services team focused on delivering continuous value and operational excellence.
You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across HR, Finance, IT, and Payroll, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert. This is an opportunity to influence scalable payroll operations, support enterprise clients, and contribute to meaningful transformation initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
- You’ll act as the functional SME for Workday Payroll, overseeing configuration, optimization, and support
- In this role, you’ll lead client discussions, gathering requirements and translating them into system solutions
- You’ll troubleshoot payroll and integration issues, ensuring compliance with Canadian legislation
- You’ll support testing activities including regression and user acceptance testing
- You’ll monitor system performance and recommend enhancements for continuous improvement
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting or implementing Workday Payroll solutions
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and Workday configuration
- Proven ability to work in client-facing roles and manage stakeholder relationships
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex payroll concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
