Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer (Infrastructure, Storage & DevOps)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS. This role will focus on cloud infrastructure provisioning, storage architecture, and DevOps automation to support high-performance and reliable workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using services such as EC2, VPC, Auto Scaling, and Load Balancers
  • Build highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable architectures
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Optimize compute resources for performance and cost efficiency

Cloud Storage

  • Architect and manage storage solutions using S3, EBS, EFS, and FSx
  • Design data lifecycle, tiering, and backup strategies
  • Ensure data durability, availability, and compliance requirements
  • Optimize storage performance for high-throughput workloads (e.g., HPC, analytics)

DevOps & Automation

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring
  • Implement configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Enable containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place

Security & Networking

  • Implement AWS security best practices including IAM, security groups, and encryption
  • Design and manage networking components (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPN, Direct Connect)
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3–7+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) or large-scale data workloads
  • Knowledge of storage optimization and data lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerized workloads
  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud or on-prem to AWS migration
