The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a Lead React Native Developer who will significantly contribute to the enhancement and scalability of our mobile platform. You will play a crucial role in defining best practices, implementing platform improvements, and assisting product teams in building effective and reliable React Native experiences.

You’ll be a key contributor to platform design, modularization, and shared infrastructure, collaborating closely with senior engineers to shape our mobile strategy.

The Work Itself

• Contribute to the design and modularization of our React Native mobile platform.
• Maintain and implement core platform features, essential components, SDK integrations, and app fundamentals such as startup and navigation.
• Work with senior engineers to guide platform direction, architecture choices, and the adoption of modern React Native capabilities.
• Ensure consistency, performance, and maintainability across the app and shared platform modules.

Cross-Team Enablement

• Empower product teams to leverage the platform for faster, more reliable feature delivery.
• Create reusable modules, design system components, and developer tools to enhance cross-team productivity.
• Offer guidance on platform best practices, coding standards, and effective React Native patterns.
• Act as a technical expert for troubleshooting complex issues and optimizing app performance.

Engineering Excellence

• Write high-quality, production-ready code that focuses on maintainability, performance, and scalability.
• Contribute to design testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes for the platform.
• Mentor engineers on platform practices, patterns, and best approaches.

The Skills You Bring

Minimum Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in related fields or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with React Native in production.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and contemporary React patterns.
• Experience with native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) development.
• Proficient in building reusable, modular components and shared mobile platforms.
• Comfortable participating in architectural discussions and platform decisions.
• Familiarity with React Native's New Architecture (TurboModules, Fabric).
• Experience with Expo is preferred.
• Knowledge of modularization strategies in large-scale mobile applications.
• Experience with CI/CD and release automation for mobile applications.
• Expertise in performance optimization and observability in mobile apps.
• Skilled in supporting multiple product teams through shared mobile infrastructure.
• A strong collaborator in the platform strategy.
• A systems thinker who focuses on maintainability and scalability.
• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
