As a Security Officer Office Building Access Control in Bethesda, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier hotel and resort location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support access awareness, observe activity, and communicate clearly with guests and staff while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative culture built on teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel or resort property, including lobbies, guest access areas, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized access, report unusual activity, and support a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff.
• Assist with access control, directions, and general assistance requests while maintaining awareness of property rules, after-hours activity, and other security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
