Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior IoT Systems Engineer to join our team in Milton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and be mentored while working on innovative hardware solutions and analytics platforms. The primary focus will be on developing new IoT products, supporting cloud connectivity, and assisting with embedded systems design and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow established engineering practices and analytical methodologies
• Design and develop IoT firmware for ESP32 and STM32 microcontrollers
• Implement cellular connectivity solutions using LTE Cat1Bis and LTE CatM1 technologies
• Develop and maintain MQTT communication protocols for device-to-cloud integration
• Work with Amazon AWS IoT Core for cloud-based device management and data processing
• Participate in concept meetings, product research, prototyping, and software programming
• Conduct in-house testing, analyze results, debug issues, and optimize system performance
• Assist with digital signage implementation and LED display technology integration
• Support Novastar LED controller configuration and optimization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, manufacturing, and sales
• Install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IoT systems and infrastructure
• Provide technical support to Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, and Service departments
• Document technical specifications, development processes, and system architecture
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies for IoT integration
• Assist in troubleshooting service calls and resolving technical issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in IoT development or embedded systems
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems
• Experience with ESP32 and/or STM32 microcontroller development
• Understanding of LTE Cat1Bis and LTE CatM1 cellular communication protocols
• Knowledge of MQTT protocol and IoT communication frameworks
• Familiarity with Amazon AWS IoT services
• Basic understanding of embedded systems design and debugging
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong English communication skills
• Willingness and ability to travel as required
