Import Export Manager- Fine Art

At Alchemy, our client, a well-established Fine Art company, is seeking an Import / Export Manager to oversee international shipping operations and support the safe and efficient movement of high-value artworks. This role will manage day-to-day import/export activity while coordinating closely with logistics partners, internal teams and clients to ensure shipments are handled smoothly and in full compliance with customs regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage import/export shipments across air, sea and road freight
• Handle customs entries, export declarations and shipping documentation
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, airlines and customs brokers
• Manage AWBs (including ICASS), airline bookings and air freight operations (IATA)
• Oversee HTS coding, duties/tax verification and import processing
• Coordinate sea freight bookings and shipping instructions
• Ensure compliance with TSA / CTPAT regulations
• Maintain strong client, supplier and partner relationships
• Monitor shipments end-to-end and resolve any issues

Requirements

• Strong experience in import/export and international logistics
• Knowledge of air freight (IATA), AWB handling and airline coordination
• Experience with customs procedures, HTS coding and documentation
• Exposure to fine art shipping or specialist logistics preferred
• Ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organisational skills
