We are seeking a Combined Laboratory and X‑Ray Technologist I to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will perform site‑specific manual and automated laboratory procedures and related duties in accordance with standards set by the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X‑Ray Technologists (ACCLXT), the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), and the Health Professions Act.
Description
As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications (1300 Character Limit)
Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
Additional Required Qualifications (1500 Character Limit)
The successful applicant must have a strong sense of teamwork and possess excellent communication skills. Strong technical skills and adaptability is imperative in this position.
Preferred Qualifications (500 Character Limit)
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Epic Beaker Laboratory Information Systems are an asset. Experience with Sysmex XN550, Vitros XT3400, ACL Elite Pro, Beckman Coulter Access II, iSTAT, Triage Meter, Clinitek Advantus and phlebotomy experience is a preferred.
