Job Description
Join the Alberta Energy Regulator as a Statement of Concern Analyst in Calgary or Edmonton. Take on a critical role in managing submissions to support responsible energy development across Alberta.
This full-time, permanent position requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. As an analyst, you'll work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure fairness in the Statement of Concern Application Review process. You will analyze submissions and develop documents while communicating with internal and external parties regarding SOC requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently analyze Statements of Concern and generate SOCAR documents
- Collaborate across teams on applications with filed SOCs
- Maintain communication with stakeholders about SOC processes
- Apply knowledge of application types for consistency
- Prepare and present SOC Disposition Memo to internal committees
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Legal Studies, or Arts
- 5+ years of relevant experience and strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AER systems
- Project Management Professional certification is an asset
- Certification in Conflict Resolution is a plus
