Job Description

The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving high-impact learning experiences that align with business priorities. This role partners closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), facilitators, and business leaders to translate complex needs into engaging, scalable learning solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end instructional design for leadership, technical, compliance, and professional development programs
  • Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps and recommend learning or non-learning solutions
  • Design blended learning experiences (eLearning, virtual instructor-led training, in-person, job aids, gamification, etc.) that support and align with strategic enterprise goals
  • Apply adult learning principles and evidence-based instructional strategies
  • Create storyboards, scripts, and prototypes for learning solutions
  • Partner with facilitators to ensure strong delivery alignment and learner engagement
  • Evaluate program effectiveness using data and iterate based on insights
  • Shape and create instructional design best practices and processes (storyboard templates, reviews, timelines, etc.)
  • Mentor junior instructional designers and model team standards and best practices

What You Have

Qualifications:

  • 8-10+ years of instructional design experience
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate) and LMS platforms
  • Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
  • Ability to translate business needs into measurable learning outcomes
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to successful and timely

Benefits

  • An anticipated base salary between 110,000-$130,000 plus annual bonus. Salary will be offered depending on skills and experience.
