JOB TITLE: Business Intelligence Specialist

POSITION STATUS: Temporary

The Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible for implementing the latest trends and best practices in business intelligence. The incumbent must be able to analyze and propose effective solutions for the development and implementation of business intelligence and data visualization projects.

The person in position must also demonstrate the ability to take large data sets and translate them in a way that is engaging and easily absorbed for decision makers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conceptualize, design and develop data visualization solutions that synthesize complex data concepts for leadership and key stakeholders using SAP Web Intelligence and/or Power BI
  • Support the Commercial Team by remaining on the pulse of data science and, data visualization
  • Prepare detailed analysis and research for commercial strategy
  • Implementation of Business Intelligence latest trends, best practices and guidelines
  • Enhance management information and decision support through the identification of critical metrics, data sources and optimal collection and distribution procedures
  • Analyze, model and monitor commercial and operational objectives against established criteria
  • Develop business templates and analysis techniques to streamline the evaluation and decision support process
  • Work cross functionally on various commercial and operational challenges to understand, solve and implement new solutions aimed at improving overall business performance
  • Support process improvement exercises. Encourage the use of Web Intelligence/Power BI reports, workflow analysis and related systems support integration
  • Automate and produce reports that increase productivity and facilitate the identification of new revenue opportunities
  • Any other related tasks

What You Bring To The Team

  • University degree in Computer Science or Mathematic or relevant working experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar role
  • Advanced experience in developing documents with SAP Web Intelligence and in developing dashboard with Power BI
  • Experience in the travel and tour operator industry (asset)
  • Advanced proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office, particularly Excel to build models to manage data and conduct robust analysis
  • Extensive knowledge of business related PC systems and software
  • Understanding of computer networking and network security concepts
  • Fully bilingual, both oral and written in English and French
  • Demonstrate initiative, autonomy and thoroughness
  • Demonstrate judgment, professionalism and team player
  • Excellent communication at all levels of the organization in both verbal and written formats for presentation, analytical and report
  • Very developed organizational skills and ability to word under pressure
  • Ability to learn new software and analytical techniques and adopt tools to ACV requirements
  • Ability to synthesize complex situations and formulate solutions
  • Ability to handle multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable in a dynamic and fast working environment
