The Role
Work from home with hybrid flexibility. Occasional office presence required for All Hands Meets, training sessions, audits, and team events. Base location: Hyderabad.
We are hiring 40 HCC Medical Coders specializing in Risk Adjustment / Dross Coding, distributed as follows:
- 10 Freshers
- 10 with 1 year of experience
- 10 with 2 years of experience
- 10 with 3 years of experience
As an HCC Medical Coder at Agilys Nxt, you will review patient charts, abstract supportable diagnoses, and assign accurate ICD-10-CM codes that map to the appropriate HCC categories under the CMS-HCC risk adjustment model. You will work within a structured production and quality framework, partnering with senior coders and QA reviewers to deliver coding that withstands client and CMS audit scrutiny.
What You Will Do
- Perform end-to-end HCC coding (Dross coding) on one-page HCC charts in line with CMS-HCC guidelines, ICD-10-CM conventions, and client-specific protocols.
- Apply MEAT criteria (Monitor, Evaluate, Assess, Treat) to validate that each captured condition is fully supported by provider documentation.
- Identify documentation gaps and raise compliant queries that improve coding accuracy and RAF integrity.
- Meet defined productivity targets while sustaining a quality benchmark of 95% or higher.
- Stay current on CMS-HCC model updates (V24, V28) and incorporate changes into daily coding practice.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining clean, defensible coding rationale on every chart.
- Contribute to daily and weekly reporting on volume, accuracy, and turnaround.

- Familiarity with EMR systems and production coding platforms.
- AAPC certification (CPC, CRC) or AHIMA certification (CCS) preferred. CRC is strongly preferred for the 2 and 3-year bands.
- Freshers must have completed a recognized medical coding training program. Certification is an advantage.
- Sharp eye for detail, sound clinical reasoning, and the ability to work steadily within SLA-driven timelines.
- Reliable home work setup with stable internet, suitable for handling PHI in line with HIPAA requirements.
Why Join Us
- Work from home flexibility with the collaborative benefits of periodic in-person engagement.
