Production Support Analyst

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Mainframe Production Support Analyst to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This is an exciting opportunity to support critical enterprise batch operations during high-visibility CD1 conversion cycles and off-hours processing windows. In this role, you will provide hands-on scheduling and recovery expertise during night shifts, weekends, and mock events to ensure seamless execution and production stability. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable with variable shifts, and brings strong ZEKE scheduling experience to support mission-critical operations.

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on mainframe batch scheduling support using ZEKE/ZEBB during off-hours, weekend validation, and mock event windows.

Monitor and support critical-path jobs, resolving abends, reruns, restarts, and dependency issues during shift coverage.

Support CD1 planning activities, including INT, Mock1, and Mock2 test cycles, and document issues, timing, and lessons learned.

Assist with runbook updates, anomaly tracking, dependency validation, and readiness improvements to ensure smooth conversion weekend execution.

Qualifications

Proven experience supporting enterprise mainframe batch scheduling using ZEKE/ZEBB.

Strong working knowledge of JCL, ChangeMan, and ServiceNow within production environments.

Experience resolving job abends, scheduling failures, reruns, and dependency conflicts during live production support.

Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, early mornings, and late-night batch cycles leading up to CD1.

Experience supporting integration testing, mock conversions, or large-scale production events.

Strong communication and documentation skills with the ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments.
