On behalf of our public sector client, Affinity is looking for a Developer - SQL Server Integration Services to work with technical leads and architects to interpret and implement business logic within database solutions. The role involves contributing to data‑repository infrastructure design, developing application components, and performing ETL activities including data migration, cleansing, and transformation.
Responsibilities
- Work with the architects and leads to analyze and clarify technical specifications to implement business logic;
- Help develop the infrastructure requirements for a data repository;
- Participate in application development and/or configuration activities to meet business requirements;
- Participate in data migration, cleansing and transformation (ETL) activities – such as the design, development and deployment;
- Analyze functional requirements and transform into transformational code;
- Adhere to Guiding Principles and Developer Technical principles;
- Develop and version control SSIS packages for data migration activities
- Develop data views from a data repository as identified during the project
- Participate in defect triage meetings.
Required Requirements
- 7 years IM/IT experience.
- University degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred, or equivalent education/experience.
- Experience with data migrations (Extract‑Transform‑Load).
- English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Resume limit of 5 pages focused on scored requirements and deliverables.
Scored Requirements
- 5 years designing, developing, testing, and deploying SSIS packages.
- 5 years SQL experience including complex query design.
- 5 years working with multiple development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- 5 years working effectively in fast‑paced, team‑focused environments with strong prioritization and time‑management skills.
- 5 years understanding, following, and contributing to team processes and improvements.
- 5+ years working within multi‑vendor teams.
