Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Description
The Warehouse Worker compiles and maintains accurate records of materials, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in stock. This role focuses on inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, and data entry to ensure that all stock levels, counts, and documentation remain precise and up to date. The position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies, and a solid understanding of warehouse and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Count material, equipment, merchandise, and supplies in stock and record totals in inventory systems manually or using a computer.
- Verify recorded inventory counts against the physical stock on hand and identify any discrepancies.
- Adjust errors in computations or counts, or investigate and report discrepancies in inventory records.
- Compile information related to the receipt and disbursement of materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
- Compute inventory balances, prices, and costs based on incoming and outgoing stock.
- Prepare reports such as inventory balance summaries, price lists, and shortage reports.
- Assist with stocking activities, including organizing and replenishing inventory in designated locations.
- Support shipping functions by preparing, labeling, and documenting outgoing shipments according to procedures.
- Support receiving functions by checking incoming shipments, verifying quantities, and updating inventory records.
- Perform data entry related to inventory, shipping, and receiving in the warehouse management or inventory control system.
- Follow established inventory management procedures, including stocking and reorder points, inventory control processes, and shipping/receiving protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the logistics and warehouse environment.
- Handle materials and products safely, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 60 pounds as required.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience with shipping and receiving processes.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed.
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures, including stocking and reorder points.
- Understanding of inventory control practices and methods.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures and documentation.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry for inventory, shipping, and receiving records.
- Strong attention to detail when counting, recording, and verifying inventory.
- Ability to compare physical stock to system records and identify discrepancies.
- Basic computer skills to update and maintain inventory records.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
