Work Hours: 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST (9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST) Days: Monday to Friday (Saturday & Sunday Off) Location: Remote - Work from Home
About the Role We are hiring an IT Support Assistant to assist our US-based IT team remotely.
The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day technical support to end users, helping them resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues.
This is a support role working directly under a Senior IT Technician, assisting with tasks primarily involving Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, Zoom, and Google Workspace.
Key Responsibilties End-User Support
Provide remote support for desktops and laptops including setup, configuration, and basic troubleshooting
Assist end users with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Support users with Zoom issues - connectivity, audio/video, phone calls, and integrations
Provide technical assistance for Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets)
Handle user account tasks such as password resets and access requests
Hardware & Software Support
Assist in diagnosing basic hardware issues - laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals
Help install and configure approved software applications
Support IT asset tracking and documentation
Networking Support
Help troubleshoot basic network issues - Wi-Fi, VPN access, IP conflicts
Assist with network printer setup and shared drive configuration
Operational & Documentation
Document resolutions, procedures, and common troubleshooting steps
Escalate complex issues to the senior technician or specialized teams
Support deployment projects such as PC refresh, software rollouts, and patching
Required Skills & Qualifications
1–3 years of experience in desktop support or technical support
Must have prior experience working with a US or international client - candidates without US/international client exposure will not be considered Strong knowledge of Windows 11 administration and troubleshooting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 environments
Familiarity with Zoom and Google Workspace support
Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi)
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Strong customer service and problem-solving mindset
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
