Under the supervision of the Quality Control Supervisor, you will be assigned inspection and non-destructive testing tasks based on your qualifications, contractual requirements, and production priorities. You will be on the front lines ensuring the compliance of our products and overseeing the smooth running of manufacturing operations.
Contributing in this role means:
- Inspect complex metal structural components (dimensional and visual)
- Perform non-destructive testing as required by contract specifications
- Apply verification criteria in accordance with applicable standards
- Document all inspection activities
- Detect, document, and follow up on non-conformities
- Read and interpret complex plans
- Understand the organization's quality requirements and ensure compliance
- Demonstrate independence of mind and judgment
- Observe occupational health and safety rules
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in steel manufacturing
- CWB VT1 and/or CGSB MT1/UT1 certification (or higher) or equivalent experience
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Diplomatic and good communicator
- Proficiency in office software
- AEC or DEC in metallurgy an asset
