Job Description
Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Assistant Brand Manager to join a Top Tier global consumer goods (CPG/FMCG) company . In this role, you will support the achievement of Profit & Loss targets and help protect market share leadership within the premium confectionery and seasonal category in Canada . You will partner closely with the Senior Brand Manager and cross-functional teams to support brand positioning, execution of marketing initiatives, and financial discipline across A&P and innovation projects.

Main Responsibilities
Marketing Strategic Planning
- Support development of annual brand plans through analysis of market, consumer, and competitive insights
- Assist in preparing volume forecasts and marketing activity roadmaps
- Track A&P spending and support budget reconciliation
- Prepare performance reports and presentations for senior leadership
- Collaborate with global teams to support local execution of strategic initiatives
- Manage day-to-day agency relationships at an executional level
Portfolio Strategy
- Conduct competitive and category analysis to inform brand positioning
- Support execution of innovation and NPD projects from concept through launch (artwork, claims, sell sheets, launch materials)
- Assist in pricing analysis and SKU performance evaluation
- Support portfolio reviews by identifying risks and opportunities
Communication and Media
- Support creative development by drafting briefs and coordinating with agencies
- Assist in localization of global assets for the Canadian market
- Track campaign timelines and ensure cross-functional alignment
- Monitor campaign performance and compile post-campaign analysis
- Coordinate legal and regulatory approvals for advertising
Promotions
- Support localization of promotional initiatives
- Coordinate packaging updates and promotional artwork
- Assist in preparing promotional summaries and effectiveness reviews
- Partner with Legal on contest and activation documentation
- Track campaign performance (sell-in, sell-out) and summarize insights
Business Follow-Up
- Conduct monthly analysis of key KPIs (sell-in/sell-out, penetration, share, distribution)
- Prepare business review decks and dashboards
- Support forecasting inputs (S&OP)
- Assist in P&L tracking by flagging risks and variances
- Act as a liaison across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global teams
Research
- Support execution of consumer research projects (pre/post testing, packaging, pricing)
- Coordinate with research agencies on timelines and deliverables
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 1–3 years of brand marketing experience within CPG/FMCG or top-tier manufacturing environments (mandatory)
- Experience supporting well-known or premium brands is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to support brand equity building, campaign execution, and agency management
- Strong analytical skills with experience using syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen)
- Solid understanding of P&L and budget tracking
- Knowledge of retail channels including grocery, mass, club, and e-commerce
- Experience in product launches, item setup, and innovation support is an asset
- Strong project management and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
