đź”§ Role Overview
We are looking for a Telecom Commissioning Engineer with solid field-level experience to support FAT, iFAT, SAT, and commissioning activities. This role demands practical execution, system configuration, and real-time troubleshooting at project sites.
âś… Key Responsibilities
Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities
Perform on-site configuration and troubleshooting of telecom & security systems
Support and lead FAT / iFAT / SAT / Site Acceptance tests
Interface with clients, EPC contractors, and vendors
Conduct loop checks, functional tests, and system integration testing
Verify installations against designs, network architecture, and specifications
Prepare commissioning procedures, test reports, as-builts, and red mark-ups
Resolve technical issues under tight timelines and site conditions
🛠️ Hands-on Experience Required
Network & Infrastructure
L2/L3 Switching (VLANs, STP, Routing, QoS)
Industrial network design & segmentation
Fiber optics (OTDR testing, splicing verification)
Structured cabling
Telecom Systems
PAGA / PAVA systems (Bosch Praesensa preferred)
VoIP, SIP, IP PBX (SIP Trunking)
TETRA / VHF / UHF radio systems
(Base stations, repeaters, handheld radios)
Microwave links (alignment & RSL checks)
Security Systems
CCTV (IP cameras, PTZ, Thermal cameras)
VMS (Genetec or equivalent)
NVR & storage troubleshooting
Access Control Systems (ACS)
Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS)
System Integration
Integration with DCS / ESD / Fire & Gas systems
Protocols: Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP
Integrated testing & cause-and-effect verification
🎯 Required Skills
Strong hands-on troubleshooting mindset
Experience in EPC commissioning workflows
Ability to read network diagrams, block diagrams & P&IDs
Comfortable working in live industrial & remote environments
Ability to work under tight deadlines
🎓 Qualifications
Degree/Diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering
5+ years of telecom commissioning experience in Oil & Gas / EPC
Vendor certifications (preferred):
Cisco (CCNA / CCNP)
Radio / PAGA vendors
CCTV / VMS platforms (e.g., Genetec)
