Role Overview:

You will be a part of the Accenture Research Global Data Science Team as a Data Science Research Senior Manager. Your role will involve utilizing your experience as a data scientist with business knowledge and a research mindset to discover data-driven insights. You will contribute to managing complex data-driven research projects with multinational and multidisciplinary teams, focusing on creating innovation and impact. Additionally, you will have opportunities for coaching, supervision, mentoring, managing research budgets, and building relationships with external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, lead, and deliver impactful data science/econometric projects that drive business outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with research leads, economists, survey experts, and business stakeholders to innovate on research projects
  • Create and implement cutting-edge data science assets
  • Promote the adoption of data science research tools and outputs within Accenture
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert both internally and externally
  • Coach and mentor junior data scientists

Qualifications Required:

  • Recognized expertise in Python, Google Cloud, SQL, NLP, text analytics, data wrangling, and machine learning
  • Exposure to Generative AI algorithms would be advantageous
  • Proven track record in leading complex research projects using econometric modeling and data science
  • Strong interest in Technology and Business research
  • Ability to incorporate business dynamics into data science models
  • Excellent analytical skills and the capability to derive insights from data
  • Proficiency in strategic problem-solving and transforming issues into researchable questions
  • Capacity to manage team complexity and project intricacies effectively
  • Professional qualities such as client focus, decisiveness, integrity, resilience, and meeting stretch goals and deadlines
  • Superior communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in presenting research deliverables to senior executives
  • Strong leadership and management abilities
  • Enthusiasm for working collaboratively in a global, multicultural team
  • Background in developing and mentoring junior data scientists

Education

  • Bachelors degree plus a full-time Masters degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. A PhD would be a bonus.
