Software Developer II (React, Nodejs)

Experience

: 3-5 years of overall experience. 2+ years of relevant experience.

Primary Skills (Mandatory/Must have): Full Stack Web Development, React, Node.js, AWS

Secondary Skills (Optional/Good to have): Data Engineering

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities -

• Design, develop, test, and maintain a modern web application using strong full stack engineering practices.
• Build intuitive, reliable, and scalable frontend experiences for internal users and platform workflows.
• Develop backend services and APIs to support application features and integrations.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-aware application behavior.
• Build, deploy, and troubleshoot applications on AWS.
• Partner with product, platform, and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Ensure strong standards for code quality, maintainability, performance, usability, and operational support.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, release processes, and production support.

Secondary responsibilities -

• Experience with data modeling, transformations, analytical queries
• Experience working with structured and semi-structured data
• Experience tracing data across services and systems to troubleshoot issues, validate behavior, and resolve inconsistencies.
• Experience partnering with engineers and stakeholders on data-related requirements, integration points, and workflow design.

Technical Skillset

Required -

• Frontend: React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
• Backend: Node.js, Express.js or similar
• API Development: REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger
• Authentication and Authorization: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, role-based access control
• Cloud / Deployment: AWS
• AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, ECS or EKS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, CloudWatch, Route 53, Secrets Manager, RDS and DynamoDB, CloudFormation
• Datastores: PostgreSQL or MySQL, DynamoDB or equivalent NoSQL database
• Data / Querying: SQL, query optimization, data modeling, data transformations
• DevOps / Delivery: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker
• Observability / Troubleshooting: CloudWatch, application logging
• Security: secure API design, token-based auth, secrets handling, OWASP-aware web application practices

Good to Have

• Data-related: JSON, Parquet, schema design, data validation patterns
• Data Engineering: Snowflake, Apache Airflow, DBT
