ACCEL Schools is hiring a highly qualified GSRP Teacher at Barber Preparatory Academy in Highland Park, Michigan, dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student. About the Opportunity:

Responsibilities of the Teacher include to-

• Deliver highly effective daily lessons based on student needs, rooted in High scope-based instructional practices. 
• Assist in setting academic goals with families. 
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. 
• Create a joyful, caring, and loving classroom environment for all students. 
• Create, establish, and follow a consistent daily routine. 
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. 
• Communicate regularly with families regarding their child's academic and social-emotional growth. 
• Collaborate and communicate effectively, humbly, and respectfully with all colleagues. 
• Knowledge of ASQ assessments 
• Maintain up-to-date CPR and First Aid Training 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

About You:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree. 
• The ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements. 
• Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum 
• Knowledge of COR note taking and ASQ assessments 
• High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring. 
• High quality written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to properly manage confidential information 
• Ability to supervise students in all school settings, including in a classroom, on playground or in another play setting, in a meal room, and/or transitioning between any of these settings 
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks 
• Ability to pass State of Michigan licensing background checks 
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting preferred
