Join us and help run what runs the world.This position reports to: Marketing & Sales ManagerYou will drive the sales performance of the Traction Division for Railway- as well as for the Mobile e Power for America, participating in sales strategy discussions, assigning goals and negotiating sales budgets and marketing plans.In this role you are managing the sales team in the Americas Region, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales Traction.The work model for the role is remote in the United States. This role requires 30% Travel in the United States, Mexico, South America and Canada.Your role and responsibilities:Responsible for Topline for all the Traction Business LinesTake overall responsibility for all the offers in the region; Contract / Risk versus Opportunity, Project Calculation, market Pricing, profitable growthAssisting the sales team and customers throughout the sales processIdentifying customer needs and competitors' offerings through market studies, ensuring that marketing is effective and that communications demonstrate the value proposition of products and servicesMarket intelligence, early identification and capturing of upcoming opportunitiesConducting sales performance reviews, proposing recovery plans for potential order shortfalls, and producing sales reports to assist in production planningOur Team DynamicsOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.Qualifications for the role:Bachelor's degree in technical and/or business discipline and combined 15+ years of experience in direct sales and sales management positions.Previous experience working as an international Sales Manager in a Global Company.Technical knowledge of Traction Products and Systems and Rail Applications and projects.Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling.An understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.Exceptional spoken and written communication skills in English, negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset.Market knowledge for Rolling Stock and/or Mobile e Power.This role requires 30% domestic and international travel across the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America requiring a Valid US Drivers' License and US Passport.Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.Preferred Qualifications:Written and Verbal Communications skills in Spanish and French.Experience with construction, mining, heavy vehicle and/or data center applications.More about usABB Traction Division is a recognized leader in onboard propulsion technologies that drive innovation in rail, bus, and industrial vehicle electrification.
