I'm working with a leading quantitative trading firm seeking a C++ Software Developer to join their global engineering team in New York

This is a hands-on role where you'll design and build the core infrastructure behind a fully automated, 24/7 trading system. You'll work closely with researchers, systems engineers, and operations teams to develop high-performance trading software and continuously improve a cutting-edge research and execution platform.

What you'll be doing:

Designing and implementing C++ trading systems and infrastructure
Building and enhancing exchange connectivity and market interfaces
Developing and optimising low-latency, high-throughput systems
Supporting and extending automated trading strategies and research tools
Investigating production issues and performance bottlenecks across the stack
Contributing to system architecture, scalability, and reliability improvements

What you'll need:

Strong C++ development experience (or equivalent statically typed languages)
Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals
Strong problem-solving ability and interest in complex technical systems
Experience with distributed systems and/or low-latency environments is a plus
Familiarity with Linux and systems-level programming advantageous
Trading industry experience beneficial but not essential
