Android Developer

Overview

We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to join a growing engineering team focused on expanding application support across mobile, tablet, and TV form factors. This role is ideal for someone who thinks holistically about front-end architecture and enjoys building flexible, reusable components that work across phones, tablets, Android TV, and Fire TV.

You'll be working alongside established backend microservices and will play a key role in shaping how modern, scalable Android front ends are designed and implemented. This engineer will own technical design for projects of moderate complexity and contribute meaningfully to the development of polished, high-performance applications across the Android ecosystem.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks

Translate Figma designs into polished, pixel-accurate UI with a strong focus on performance and usability

Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver features efficiently and at a high standard

Develop reusable components and SDK-style modules that can be shared across multiple Android form factors

Integrate with backend services and real-time data sources using REST, WebSockets, gRPC, and similar technologies

Participate in code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows

Debug, optimize, and improve application performance across a wide range of devices and Android OS versions

Stay current with Android platform evolution, architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Jetpack Compose), and testing best practices

What You Bring

5+ years of professional Android development experience in production environments

Strong proficiency in Kotlin, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Material Design principles

Demonstrated experience owning the full app lifecycle, from development through Google Play Store release

Experience building extensible, data-driven applications that integrate with modern backend services

Solid understanding of asynchronous programming, including coroutines and reactive patterns

Experience with testing strategies such as unit, integration, and UI testing

Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g. GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins, or similar)

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working in cross-functional or Agile teams
