Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farmer to join our agricultural team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily farm operations, including planting, cultivating, harvesting, and caring for crops and/or livestock. This role requires strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to sustainable and efficient farming practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare soil by plowing, fertilizing, and ensuring optimal conditions for planting.
• Plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest crops according to seasonal cycles.
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Caring for livestock, including feeding, monitoring health, and maintaining living conditions (if applicable).
• Monitor crop and animal health, identifying signs of disease or pests and taking corrective action as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm and associated facilities.
• Adhere to safety, environmental, and health regulations and procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of farm operations, production, and inventory.
• Assist with budgeting, purchasing supplies, and other administrative tasks related to farm management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in farming or agriculture, or related fields.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Ability to operate and maintain farm equipment safely.
• Knowledge of basic plant or animal care practices.
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal education or certification in agriculture, horticulture, or related disciplines.
• Experience with sustainable or organic farming practices.
• Valid driver’s license and experience operating tractors or other agricultural machinery.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and farm management software.

Physical Requirements

Work Environment

The role involves working outdoors on a farm in multiple weather conditions. Depending on the farm, this may include weekends, early mornings, or evenings during planting and harvest seasons.
