Bristol-Myers Squibb Company is hiring a(n) Senior Director, Portfolio Decision Tools and Innovation (in Lawrenceville, NJ).
Duties: Develop and implement standardized portfolio and therapeutic area (TA) management templates, processes, and decision-making tools that support portfolio management and therapeutic area strategy. Manage projects related to the development and implementation of decision-making tools, including defining project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget completion. Ensure data accuracy and integrity through development and implementation of quality checks and validation processes to maintain “one source of truth” across functions. Partner with health dashboard leads to integrate decision-making tools with portfolio health KPIs to enable high-quality decision-making aligned with company goals and objectives. Establish metrics to ensure attainment of portfolio and therapeutic area strategic objectives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders across research, development, enterprise strategy, finance, business insights, analytics (BI&A), and corporate and business development to ensure alignment between analytics, strategy, and execution. Develop and management portfolio health dashboards and action plans. Leverage analytics and insights to develop a cross-therapeutic area Portfolio Strategy that identifies areas of opportunity for investment, building executive-level content to communicate insights with the CEO and Board of Directors. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, or a related field, and seven (7) years of work experience, of which five (5) years must be progressive post-baccalaureate experience as an Operations Research Analyst or related occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, or a related field, and five (5) years of work experience as an Operations Research Analyst or related occupation.
Must have five (5) years of experience with/in the following (which can be gained concurrently):
- Implementing global commercial strategies for large scale pharmaceutical companies;
- Assessing the viability of pharmaceutical assets including modality, mechanism of action, target, and disease area;
- Utilizing EvaluatePharma to perform quantitative analysis, data-driven forecasting, and objective asset valuation;
- Conducting competitive analysis with real-time insights using AlphaSense;
- Assessing portfolio health analytics and visualizing data using Think-cell; and
- Shaping international growth strategies, with a focus on the clinical development landscape in China.

Paid Time Off
- US Exempt Employees: flexible time off (unlimited, with manager approval, 11 paid national holidays (not applicable to employees in Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico or Rayzebio employees)
- Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.
All global employees full and part-time who are actively employed at and paid directly by BMS at the end of the calendar year are eligible to take advantage of the Global Shutdown.
*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.”
