Position Summary The Senior Full Stack Software Developer will be a key engineering contributor within Worldwide Patient Safety IT, as part of the Drug Development IT organization, supporting critical Risk Minimization systems and related platforms. This role will design, build, and enhance full‑stack applications that enable risk minimization capabilities primarily for IMiDs and CELMoDs line of drugs. The senior software developer will work across modern cloud native architectures such as AWS, microservices, BPM platforms, containerized workloads and collaborate closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Test Lead, IT Validation team, IT Quality Assurance team, and Global Risk Management stakeholders. The position requires strong technical acumen, end‑to‑end ownership, and the ability to operate in a highly regulated life‑sciences environment. Key Responsibilities · Collaborate with Patient Safety Product Managers, Engineering Leads, and Architects located globally (New Jersey, Hyderabad etc.) to understand requirements and convert them into technical solutions. · Design, develop and deliver scalable, secure, cloud‑based solutions using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, PostgreSQL and associated full‑stack frameworks. · Build microservices, REST APIs, UI components, integrations, and reusable libraries. · Implement business workflows leveraging technologies such as Camunda BPM or equivalent while aligned with the existing Risk Minimization platforms. · Drive high‑quality coding practices, SDLC documentation, CICD pipelines, and deployment automation. Manage security vulnerabilities and implement secure coding best practices. · Ensure compliance with SDLC, validation, audit requirements, and data integrity standards expected in highly regulated environment. · Conduct root-cause analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and support L2/L3 operation teams as needed. · Provide technical guidance to junior developers, ensuring best practices and engineering discipline. Qualifications & Experience · 7+ years of hands-on full stack development experience. · Strong expertise in: o Backend: Java, Spring Boot, REST API development o Frontend: ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS o Database: PostgreSQL or MySQL or Oracle; familiarity with NoSQL preferred o Cloud: AWS (Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, ECS, S3, IAM) o CI/CD: Jenkins or GitHub Action or Bitbucket pipelines etc. o BPM platforms: Camunda or Bonitasoft or PEGA or similar platform experience · Experience with microservices, event driven design, containerization (Docker), and modern architectural patterns. · Practical experience using AI‑assisted engineering tools (e.g., code copilots) to accelerate development, test generation, refactoring, and documentation, with a disciplined approach to code quality and security. · Prompting and evaluating LLM outputs for engineering tasks (e.g., creating unit tests, converting requirements to acceptance criteria, generating API stubs) and grounding outputs against source specs. · Familiarity with ML/AI concepts relevant to application development such as OCR/NLP basics, model/service integration patterns (REST/SDK), & responsible AI considerations (ex: data privacy). · Exposure to Risk Evaluation & Mitigation Strategy (REMS) or pharmacovigilance or patient safety, or regulated life‑sciences environment is an advantage. · Foundational understanding of GxP processes, compliance and validation processes is preferred. · Experience in Agile methodologies and project management tools, such as JIRA. · Strong problem‑solving, analytical thinking, and debugging abilities. · Ability to work in global Agile teams with distributed stakeholders, with excellent communication and collaboration skills. · Proactive communication, ownership mindset, and attention to detail. · Possess a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a closely related technical field. · Technical Certifications in AWS, Agile or BPM tools are advantageous.
