Data Analyst_Ecommerce Buy Box

About The Role

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to support ecommerce buy box analysis for a leading US-based client. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Tableau, SQL, and Python, along with hands-on experience in ecommerce analytics and marketplace performance analysis.

This role involves extracting and analyzing large datasets, building insightful dashboards, performing regression testing, and delivering actionable recommendations to improve buy box performance and seller competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:Tableau Dashboard Development

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards for ecommerce KPIs.
• Monitor metrics such as buy box win rate, seller performance, pricing competitiveness, conversion trends, and inventory health.
• Create calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, and blended data models.
• Deliver visual insights and reports for business stakeholders and client teams.

SQL — Data Extraction & Analysis

• Write complex and optimized SQL queries using joins, CTEs, subqueries, and window functions.
• Perform data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and aggregation from large relational databases.
• Develop reusable SQL scripts and automate recurring reporting processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization.

Python — Automation & Data Processing

• Build Python scripts using Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Scikit-learn.
• Automate reporting pipelines and analytical workflows.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify patterns, anomalies, and trends.
• Support regression testing and data validation activities.

Buy Box & Ecommerce Analysis

• Analyze buy box eligibility factors including pricing, fulfillment method, seller ratings, and inventory availability.
• Identify root causes for buy box loss and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform regression testing on pricing, inventory, and fulfillment models.
• Track ecommerce KPIs such as ACOS, ROAS, TACOS, BSR, conversion rate, and buy box percentage.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Work closely with account managers, product teams, and client stakeholders.
• Prepare analytical reports and present actionable recommendations.
• Participate in sprint planning, agile ceremonies, and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Tableau Desktop/Server.
• Advanced SQL knowledge including joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Scikit-learn).
• Understanding of statistical analysis and regression testing.
• Knowledge of Amazon buy box mechanics and ecommerce marketplace metrics.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Data Analytics or Business Intelligence roles.
• Experience supporting US-based ecommerce clients or marketplaces.

Preferred Skills Cloud & Data Platforms

• Experience with AWS services such as Redshift, S3, Glue, and Athena.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Dataflow).
• Exposure to Azure Synapse or Azure Data Factory is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in US-client-facing BPO/KPO or ecommerce services organizations.
• Exposure to marketplace data feeds, catalog analytics, and pricing intelligence tools.
• Experience with A/B testing, pricing strategy analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
• Understanding of machine learning models for forecasting or price optimization.
• Prior experience working in PST/night shift environments.
