Detailed Job Description

• Experience working on Palo Alto firewalls in an enterprise environment.
• PCNSA and PCNSE certification or course completion is required.
• Strong experience using Panorama, template stacks, and device groups to manage large firewall deployments.
• Strong experience implementing Layer 7 rules with threat detection (AV, Anti-Spyware, Vulnerability Protection, DLP, URL filtering/categorization, WildFire).
• Strong understanding of SSL inspection, decryption, decryption bypass, certificate management, etc.
• Strong understanding of zone-based configurations and DDoS protection profiles.
• Experience implementing and managing various forms of User-ID.
• Experience deploying Palo Alto firewalls in AWS (preferred).
• Experience using EDLs; experience with MineMeld is preferred.
• Experience running Palo Alto BPA and remediation efforts.
• Experience deploying and managing IPSec tunnels, NAT, and Policy-Based Forwarding.
• Experience in general firewall maintenance and troubleshooting (PAN-OS upgrades, plugin upgrades, User-ID, etc.).
• Experience with Palo Alto DMZ architecture and securing public-facing applications.
• Must have experience deploying and supporting Always-On GlobalProtect with MFA, pre-logon rules, and HIP checks (BYOD experience is a plus).
• Understanding and experience in building a Zero Trust environment.
• Palo Alto CN-Series firewall experience is an added advantage.
• Strong networking background including BGP and OSPF, with troubleshooting experience across multiple platforms and technologies.
• Prisma Access experience (preferred).
• Prisma SaaS experience (preferred).
• Expedition experience (preferred).
• WAF experience (preferred).
• Project management experience including planning, task management, timelines, budgets, and coordination with cross-functional teams (including external resources).
• Strong verbal communication, documentation, and diagramming skills.
• Security certifications are required to ensure a strong security mindset.
• Experience working within change control processes.
