Role Mission
The Automation Engineer will design and build automation pipelines, internal tools, and AI-driven workflows that power Zenduit’s operations. Using Claude Code and modern AI-assisted development tools, you will rapidly prototype, productionize, and maintain systems that streamline processes and integrate multiple teams and platforms.
You will work closely with the Revenue Systems & Automation Lead, who defines operational priorities, while you implement the systems that execute them.
AI-Native Development
Key expectations:
- Rapidly build internal operational tools using Claude Code
- Generate and refine backend services with AI assistance
- Design AI-driven workflows that connect systems and data
- Prototype quickly and productionize solutions
- Use AI tools to accelerate development cycles
Examples of projects you may build:
- Internal workflow tools for Sales and Operations
- AI agents monitoring pipeline health and generating alerts
- CRM automation services with API integrations
- Operational dashboards powered by automated data pipelines
- AI-assisted systems summarizing meetings and updating CRM records
We are looking for engineers who are comfortable working with AI as a development partner and can turn operational ideas into working tools rapidly.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Development
- Build reliable automation workflows and internal operational tools
- Integrate APIs across CRM, support, finance, and operational systems
- Create internal tools that reduce manual work across teams
Agentic AI Systems
- Design and implement AI-assisted operational workflows, including:
- Meeting transcript → CRM updates → task creation
- AI agents monitoring operational metrics
- Automated summarization of operational data
- AI-assisted support ticket analysis
Automation Reliability
- Ensure systems operate reliably in production
- Implement error handling and retry logic
- Monitor automation pipelines and debug integration failures
- Maintain documentation of workflows
Tools & Technologies
- Automation Platforms: Make (Integromat), n8n, Zapier, Zoho Flow
- Programming & Integration: Python, Node.js, REST APIs, Webhooks
- AI Development: Claude Code, OpenAI APIs, LLM workflow orchestration tools, AI-assisted development environments
- Data & Analytics: SQL, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, CRM analytics tools
- Version Control: Git, GitHub / GitLab
Required Skills
- Building internal tools using Claude Code
- Integrating APIs and external systems
- Designing workflow automation pipelines
- Implementing AI-assisted operational systems
- Debugging complex integrations
- Strong systems thinking and process-driven mindset
- Ability to translate operational problems into technical solutions
Experience
3–6+ years in:
- Automation engineering
- Backend engineering
- Systems integration
- AI-assisted development workflows
- Experience with SaaS operations or CRM automation is highly preferred.

Salary Range:
CAD$90-CAD$100 / Yearly
