Position Summary

We’re urgently looking for a Backend Engineer to step into a critical role supporting our client in the end-to-end payment processing solutions. This position replaces a key team member and requires someone who can contribute immediately and take ownership of backend systems powering high-volume, secure financial transactions.

As a Senior Engineer at Yularatech, the candidate will play a critical role in design, develop, and preferably deploying scalable applications on our AWS environment, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to high-quality standards.

You’ll focus primarily on backend development (80%), while also being able to collaborate effectively with frontend teams and understand integration points (~20%). This is a highly impactful role in a modern microservices environment with real-world scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

● Translate requirements into actionable technical tasks using Jira

● Lead backend feature development from planning through deployment

● Manage production releases, monitor performance, and handle incidents

● Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and ensure quality through testing

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, Dev Ops, QA, product) across regions

● Participate in architectural discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement

● Occasionally assist with or debug frontend integration issues when needed

● Taking a lead role in the end-to-end development of web applications, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Skills and Experience.

● Deploy and manage cloud-based applications on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Firebase.

● Design and maintain microservices architecture for payment processing.

Mandatory / MOST IMPORTANT

● Minimum of 6 years of Backend Development experience.

● Strong experience with Node.js, Type Script, and Nest JS.

● Proven hands-on work with AWS services listed above.

● Solid experience with both SQL and No SQL databases.

● Comfortable working in microservices and event-driven architectures.

● Working knowledge of frontend integration and cross-functional collaboration.

● Familiar with CI/CD workflows, Git, and Agile processes.

DESIRABLE

● 6 –8+ years of total experience in backend engineering.

● Experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, or similar Ia C tools.

● Domain experience in fintech, banking, or large-scale transactional systems.
