Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience to join our team in Pune (Wagholi). The role involves independent assessment and review of ongoing construction activities across residential and commercial projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The engineer will act as a third-party technical monitor for our client providing objective oversight on site progress, financial utilization, and compliance for funding agencies. This position demands a high level of technical acumen, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver accurate, timely reports. The candidate will report directly to the Senior/Lead Projects team and play a critical role in safeguarding project integrity and transparency.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily site assessments and monitor execution progress of construction activities.
  • Prepare and submit daily progress review reports with visual documentation (photos).
  • Analyze project estimation and budget data for accuracy and alignment with actuals.
  • Review and interpret Work Orders (WO) and Purchase Orders (PO) for compliance and clarity.
  • Verify project bills against WO/PO and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Calculate and validate quantities in measurement sheets.
  • Identify and escalate any deviations in budget or progress through red-flag reporting.
  • Develop and maintain monthly progress and costing trackers.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards on-site.
  • Act as an independent technical observer for vendor and promoter activities.
  • Report findings and progress to the Funding Agency through formal documentation.

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Proven experience in progress monitoring, cost tracking, and budget verification.
  • Strong understanding of measurement sheets, WO/PO analysis, and bill verification.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed progress and costing reports.
  • Ability to identify and report discrepancies in project execution and financial utilization.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage personal logistics.
  • Candidate must arrange own lodging and boarding; CTC includes all associated expenses.
