Special Education Teacher Position

Empower special education students as a dedicated teacher. Foster intellectual and social growth through tailored learning experiences, and engage in coaching activities to enhance student skills.

This role focuses on developing individual educational plans (IEPs), modifying curricula, and delivering targeted instruction. You'll work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff in various capacities while addressing diverse learning needs. Instructional strategies will incorporate adaptive techniques and encourage positive personal growth for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt educational materials for diverse learners
• Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievements
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce discipline
• Facilitate communication with parents and staff regularly
• Sponsor extracurricular activities and support athletic growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements
• Knowledge of IEP processes and adaptations for special needs
• Strong communication and coaching skills required
• Experience teaching students with disabilities or related internship
