Starting Date: Jul 8, 2026 Job Description Primary Purpose: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. Instruct and coach students to develop skills and abilities to excel in athletics. Provide each student with the opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensure compliance with all federal, state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements. Education / Certification Bachelor's degree Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned Benefits District pays $400/month towards TRS ActiveCare health insurance District pays for $20,000 life insurance Coaching stipend 5 local days in addition to state days Opportunity to receive Teacher Incentive Allotment Special Knowledge / Skills Knowledge of core academic subject assigned Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students Strong classroom management Ability to collect and analyze data to make instructional decisions Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills Position Type Full-Time Job Requirements Bachelor degree preferred.
