This position is ideal for someone who value holistic education and is committed to integrating Tsimshian Language and Cultureinto daily teaching practices.Key ResponsibilitiesMathematics (.6):Plan and deliver engaging mathematic instruction across multiple grade levelsSupport students in developing mathematical competencyCollaborate with staff to implement school-wide mathematic initiativesUse assessment data to inform instruction and support student growthGrade 8/9 Classroom (.4):Teach core subjects including science, social studies, and artCreate a nurturing and inclusive classroom environmentDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needsCultural Integration:Embed Tsimshian language and cultural teachings into all aspects of the curriculumCollaborate with elders, cultural workers, and community members to enrich student learningParticipate in cultural events and ceremonies as part of the school communityQualifications:BC Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)Experience teaching mathematics and/or junior high gradesKnowledge of or willingness to learn Tsimshian language and cultural practicesStrong classroom management and communication skillsCommitment to Indigenous education and reconciliationApplication process:Please submit your resume, cover letter, and references to:Cheyenne Morrison, Acting PrincipalEmail:
