Job Description
Job Title: Finance Business Analyst (SAP FICO / S4 HANA)Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Analyst with strong expertise in SAP FICO and S/4 HANA to support finance transformation initiatives, business process optimization, and system implementations. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring effective delivery of financial solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for finance and controlling processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define “As-Is” and “To-Be” business processes.
- Conduct GAP analysis and recommend optimal SAP-based solutions.
- Prepare Business Blueprint documents, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Act as a liaison between finance teams and technical (ABAP/development) teams.
SAP FICO & Controlling (CO)
- Configure and support SAP CO modules including:
- Cost Element Accounting (Primary & Secondary Cost Elements)
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA), distributions, assessments
- Internal Orders, budgeting, and settlements
- Product Costing (MTS & MTO scenarios)
- Manage period-end activities including WIP, variance calculation, and settlements.
- Work on CO-PA including operating concern setup, derivations, valuation, and reporting.
- Ensure integration of CO with PP and other modules.
Financial Accounting (FI)
- Support FI modules including:
- General Ledger (FI-GL)
- Accounts Payable (FI-AP)
- Accounts Receivable (FI-AR)
- Asset Accounting (FI-AA)
- Bank Accounting
- Configure financial global settings and GST/taxation processes.
- Ensure seamless integration between FI-MM and FI-SD modules.
Material Management (MM) & Integration
- Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and vendor management.
- Manage inventory accounting and service procurement processes.
- Configure and maintain Business Partner and purchasing settings.
- Work closely with MM team for cross-functional integration.
Data Migration & Implementation
- Participate in end-to-end SAP implementations using ASAP methodology.
- Handle data migration activities for large and medium-scale projects.
- Support cutover planning and execution.
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
Reporting & Analytics
- Develop and support financial and management reports (Report Painter, CO-PA reports).
- Perform workforce analytics including forecasting, capacity planning, and call volume analysis.
- Provide insights to improve financial and operational performance.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide post go-live support and resolve issues within SLA timelines.
- Assist in period-end and year-end closing activities.
- Identify process improvements and recommend automation opportunities.
- Prepare training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MBA in Finance / B.Com or equivalent qualification.
- 9+ years of experience in SAP FICO (R/3 and S/4 HANA).
- Strong expertise in CO modules (CCA, COPA, Product Costing, Internal Orders).
- Good knowledge of FI modules and financial processes.
- Experience in SAP implementation, support, and data migration projects.
- Understanding of integration across FI, CO, MM, and SD modules.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with global clients and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and cloud environments (e.g., Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of GST and Indian taxation.
- Exposure to workforce analytics and reporting tools.
