Job Description
As a Dealership Finance Manager, your role involves managing the financial operations of the automobile dealership to ensure financial health, profitability, and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities include:
- Financial Management
Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.
Track dealership profitability across vehicle sales, service, and spare parts departments.
Ensure timely vendor payments and receivables collection.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitor actual performance vs. budget and analyze variances.
Provide financial insights to support business decisions and profitability improvement.
- Accounting & Compliance
Ensure proper accounting as per accounting standards and company policies.
Manage GST filings, TDS compliance, and statutory returns.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Ensure compliance with OEM financial reporting requirements.
- Dealership Operations Support
Work closely with sales, service, and parts departments to track financial performance.
Monitor vehicle inventory financing and stock reconciliation.
Oversee retail finance coordination with banks/NBFCs for customer vehicle loans.
Track dealer incentives, claims, and reimbursements from OEMs.
- Internal Controls & Risk Management
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and audit procedures.
Prevent financial discrepancies, fraud, and operational leakages.
Conduct periodic internal audits and stock audits.
- Team Management
Supervise the accounts and finance team.
Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and documentation.
Train team members on financial policies and compliance.
Qualifications
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com (CA preferred for large dealerships).
- 1015 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in automobile dealership or automotive industry.
